About the Position:
Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 30 SEP 2025 by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years
Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 30 SEP 2025, if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years.
Duties
Understand procurement processes and how to request and issue supplies utilizing durable warehouse and fund request for nonstandard items.
Implement and oversee command and supply discipline program that includes supply and vehicle management, applying analytical and evaluative techniques necessary for research and resolution of equipment and supply issues that are procedural in nature.
Facilitate preparation for deployment and redeployment of active duty, National Guard, Individual Ready Reserve (IRR), and Individual Mobilized Augmenters (IMA) for units redeploying through Fort Bliss.
Develop and execute programs to ensure maximum utilization of logistical resources and facility management for the Soldier Readiness Processing Center (SRPC).

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting logistics management operations that involves planning, coordinating or evaluating logistical actions required to support a specified mission in various areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics, or Supply Chain Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
