About the Position: Serves as U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command Senior Logistician for the region assigned. Must be multi-weapon system trained on two or more aviation systems (i.e., BLACKHAWK, APACHE, KIOWA, Chinook), comprised of complex electronic, electromechanical. electro hydraulic, and electro pneumatic equipment missile; ground support equipment; and specialized test equipment.
Duties
Manage and resolve conflicts, confrontations, and disagreements in a positive and constructive manner to minimize negative personal impact.
Identifies and analyzes problems; uses sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions; finds alternative solutions to complex problems; distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical judgements.
Applies principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating and managing projects and resources, including technical performance.
Knowledge of systems life cycle management concepts used to plan, develop, implement, operate and maintain information systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance for the duration of employment.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status.
- Incumbent must be able to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
- This position is subject to a mobility or rotation agreement as a condition of employment. You will be required to relocate based on management needs for the duration of employment in this or successor positions.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a two-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% of the time.
- Must possess and maintain use of a government credit card.
- Must obtain and retain a valid vehicle operator's license as required by the outside the US (OCONUS) Country of assignment.
- May have to work weekends, holidays, and/or be on-call.
- Performance of duties require the incumbent to participate in Aerial Flight (not as a crew member).
- Incumbent will attend, as scheduled, those technical disciplines and/or system function area training courses required to obtain and/or maintain proficiency on the assigned systems.
- Incumbent is required to be mobile for worldwide assignments as the needs of the service dictate, per AR 700-4.

Specialized Experience Statement (HR/SME): I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: expertise in AMCOM Managed Weapon systems logistics operations; exercising a broad range of logistics relationships; experience in one or more areas of logistics operations of Aviation weapons systems interface, hardware and software problems; and providing coordination for continuous evaluation of training, maintenance operations, supply functions, and needs affecting status of AMCOM Managed Aviation Weapon Systems.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
