You will serve as a JOINT EXERCISE PROGRAM MANAGER in the Training and Exercise Directorate (J7), Joint Exercise Division (J71), of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will periodically conduct operational planning teams (OPTs) for continual development and refinement of a campaign plan intended to integrate national and multinational objectives through joint training and exercises. You will combine live and simulated environments through the full spectrum of conflict to improve readiness of forces and those of our coalition partners, and through incorporating training and exercises with nongovernmental organizations. You will define mission requirements and the tasks that must be performed by the command and responsible organizations at all levels throughout the force. You will monitor the Plans Phase to coordinate training requirements for assigned forces and staffs, command training goals, and the plans for achieving those goals are identified. You will support the execution of the Joint Exercise Program (JEP) monitors execution of the Joint Training Plan (JTP) and Annex M, Theater Campaign Order. You will monitor Commander?s Battle Rhythm and Decision Making Cycles; processes Significant Military Exercise Briefs; coordinate Service Exercise Program events in the USINDOPACOM battle rhythm. You will monitor the Assessment Phase, to assess the outcomes of a wide range of Operations, Activities, Investments (OAIs) to determine if training readiness proficiency objectives have been achieved.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
