About the Position: Serves as Program Analyst for V Corps Current Operations Directorate. Performs analysis and planning to support the execution of contingency peacetime missions and force modernization. planning policies, and training evaluation programs.
Duties
Provide input and assist in drafting and executing exercises, functional, and integrated/full scale exercises.
Prepare organizational charts information on organizations and functional responsibilities of various staff elements for the overall assessments of force structure security.
Perform analysis of new training programs.
Coordinate actions directed by European Command (EUCOM), United States Army Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF), or internally.
Prepare briefing slides for Command Visits, General Officer (GO) briefings, staff calls, and other required briefings.
Draft Warning Orders (Task Management Tool (TMT) or similar systems) and Fragmentary Orders in support of V Corps and supported organizations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to work extended and/or other than normal duty hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to the extent determined by the supervisor.
- Must be able perform a Temporary Change of Station (TCS) for not less than 6 months, but no more than 30 months
- Must be able to work under austere living conditions, as well as, share accommodation under field conditions (containers, tents and/or barracks).
- Must be able to travel using military transportation or non-commercial means of travel.
- This position is designated Mission and Furlough Essential.
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergencies, the incumbent must be able to report to duty or remain on duty during emergency and/or crisis situations or report for duty when non-essential workers are placed on furlough.
- IAW DoD Policy, must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee Special Issuance Passport (SIP) and associated visa while assigned to a Federal civilian position in an area requiring a passport and associated visa.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Experience . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Accounting.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
