About the Position: Serves as action officer providing analysis for the Combat Training Center (CTC) Program.
Duties
Support the Combat Training Center (CTC) executive management/governance process.
Provide support in coordinating and synchronizing CTC Program reviews across Army Command (ACOM), Army Service Component Command (ASCC), and Direct Reporting Unit (DRU) CTC stakeholders.
Execute and assist in identifying requirements for warfighting technologies and systems and special training aids and devices, simulations, and simulators required by the CTCs.
Conduct analyses to maintain relevant near-peer Opposing Forces (OPFOR) at the CTCs.
Analyze, validate, cost and prioritize operational concepts and requirements to inform resource allocations for the CTC Program.
Execute and assist in the development and review of Army policies impacting the CTCs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent of this position must able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) requirement of 25%
- Requirement to work in inclement weather/conditions. Travel to Combat Training Centers and other field training/testing sites to observe the integration of training, target engagement systems and instrumentation systems under field conditions.
- The incumbent is required to wear protective gear (helmet, load bearing equipment, protective mask) under field conditions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assessing resource requirements and assisting with the development of detailed plans, goals and objectives for a combat training program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
