About the Position: This is a Program Manager, GS-0340-13 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, Programs & Project Management Division, Military Programs Branch located in Fort Worth, TX.

Duties

Serve as Project Manager responsible for the overall schedule and funds management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned Military Program projects. Perform as the project team leader, implement Government decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the project. Coordinate project planning, design, and implementation of competitive and non-competitive construction acquisitions through source selection processes for programs/projects of varying scope and complexity, as required. Serve as the Government's primary point of contact for programs/projects assigned. Provide input to Military Program Managers and other District Senior management personnel regarding the projects assigned.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing the planning, design, acquisition, and construction aspects of assigned military projects.; AND 2) Preparing construction project acquisition packages, budgets, or cost reports.; AND 3) Advising customers, senior leaders or stakeholders on design and construction project status or issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
