You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the Marine Corps Logistics Command of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will perform research tasks to obtain a variety of cost, schedule, and performance data.
You will conduct or participate in cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs and develop lifecycle cost analyses of projects.
You will prepare detailed financial plans for assigned programs and/or participates with management in fiscal planning
You will assist the organization with programming, analysis, and control of funds to include evaluating program funding plans and their execution and identifying actual or potential problem areas.
You will provide support and advice on realignment of funds and funding levels due to changes in workload and/or mision.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.
- This is a Term Appointment Not-to-Exceed 366 day.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing management support services through performing program cost analysis, longrange fiscal planning and development of financial plans and conducting studies to gather and analyze data on the effectiveness and efficiency of programs and operations.

Education
Applicant can qualify through a combination of education and specialized experience which when combined equals 100%
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
or
three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
or
LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
