Duties
You will evaluate policies and directives and advises on actions necessary to establish the framework of policy.
You will recommend policy, organization, and operational procedures.
You will review matters of directorate-wide significance to ensure that procedures are in accordance with the policies and plans of the CDD Director.
You will keep the Director CDD apprised of matters relating to the effectiveness of general management.
You will direct policy, procedural, and operational changes to increase effectiveness and mission accomplishment.
You will make decisions on non-routine costly requests for material or training.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
The incumbent evaluates policies and directives from DoD, the Secretary of the Navy, Headquarters Marine Corps, and the Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration and advises on actions necessary to establish the framework of policy.
The incumbent provides for the control, coordination, and continuity of programs and operations by accomplishing the necessary interface and by working with key staff in developing plans for facilities, funding, personnel, equipment, and other such requirements. In this capacity, the incumbent performs the following duties:
The incumbent confers with the CDD Director and with key higher and adjacent headquarters staff regarding problem areas and projected major changes in the assigned mission. Recommends policy, organization, and operational procedures. Reviews matters of directorate-wide significance to ensure that procedures are in accordance with the policies and plans of the CDD Director. Identifies and monitors actual or potential problem areas that require General Officer level decision and recommends a specific course of action that resolves the problem or corrects deficient performance.
