Duties

You will develop and prepare designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, production drawings, specification sheets, and other data using computer-assisted design (CAD) drafting workstations. You will properly store and maintain CAD files. You will create Bills of Material (BOM). You will complete report packages and prepare drawings for fabrication independently. You will assist in checking and verifying design drawings conform to specifications and design data. You will collect metrics and report on process and execution success.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For the NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-02 pay band (GS-05 to GS-08 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Applying technical engineering methods and techniques to assist in developing and preparing designs for support in successful execution of processes of computer-assisted design workstations. For the NT-02:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-01 pay band (GS-01 to GS-04 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reading technical drawings, diagrams, or specifications to perform technical engineering work in support of computer-assisted design workstations. FOR THE NT-02:Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics.

OR

A combination of experience and post high school education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
