You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the National Security Directorate (Code 22) of NCIS.
All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will analyze support plans, programs and activities and prepare reports and preliminary reviews.
You will review and evaluate management requests for program development or amendment.
You will interpret, evaluate, and recommend development of program policies and practices.
You will assist in performing research and studies including data analysis, preparing statistical summaries, writing position papers, and developing and presenting briefings.
You will analyze and evaluate resource allocations to interpret and forecast functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
You will identify problems and potential problem areas based on daily observance or studies and develop written and oral recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Analyzing work processes, and studying and evaluating program operations;
Identifying problems with program operations and the administrative processes, inefficiencies, and potential problems;
Developing recommendations for solutions; and
Attending meetings and completing follow-up on actions resulting from meetings to include taking notes, disseminating to other attendees clarifying subsequent task requirements, leads, and due dates.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Assisting with directorate program analysis efforts (e.g., analyzing support plans, programs and activities, performing research, data analysis, preparing statistical summaries and reviews); and
Assisting with funding allocation (e.g., tracking and controlling funds for programs and analyzing and evaluating resource allocations).
