You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT of NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH.

Duties

You will manage and oversee Information Assurance functions for the information system user community. You will develop risk assessments, security, test and evaluation; systems security contingency and disaster recovery plans; and prepare certification and accreditation packages. You will provide annual information assurance awareness training to all users. You will participate in analyzing and gathering evidence of computer incidents.

  • Incumbent must be trained, certified, or recertified in accordance with DoD 8570.01, Dec 19, 2005 Chapter 4, IA Workforce Management Category, within 6 months of hire.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing advice and guidance regarding security aspects of processing, storage, retrieval, transmission, and access concerning classified and unclassified information; 2) Conducting network scans and periodic surveys to determine compliance with applicable regulations and policies; and 3) Conducting required cybersecurity reviews and audits.
