About the Position: Serves as senior analyst and subject matter expert for Installation Management Command (IMCOM) located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Ensures the command-wide budget management plans, guidelines, goals and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goal objectives, work plans, products and services.
Serves as senior analyst and subject matter expert to command-wide programming, budgeting, and day-to-day financial management operations of fiscal elements and installations within command-managed appropriated funds and reimbursable funding.
Provides technical assistance to the Director Resource Management (DRM), Program Managers, IMCOM Directorates and installations as requested/required.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the accomplishment of budgets by review of reports, studies, projects, and information provided by, HQ staff, IMCOM Directorates and subordinate installations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This is a Financial Management Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes budget planning, programming, budgeting and execution for a command comprised of a multitude of resource bases and missions; analyzing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating the amount, sequence, and timing of substantive actions in all phases of budgeting and execution needed to formulate and execute the operating programs which have extensive budgetary and financial relationships with the budgets and programs of multi-year appropriations and revolving funds. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
