You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Program Office for Strategic and Theater Sealift (PMS 385) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.
Duties
You will influence and develop policies and procedures to ensure effective life cycle support for the Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF).
You will engage the Navy logistics support community in establishing support solutions for the introduction of the EPF to service with the Military Sealift Command (MSC) and the NAVY Fleet.
You will develop supportability approaches and plans and collaborate with the Program Office and PEO managers, engineers, and logisticians to identify and procure all logistics support requirements for equipment and systems in the EPF platforms.
You will direct Integrated Product/Process Teams (IPTs) from Program Office, PEOs, SEA04, In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs), training activities, and OPNAV to achieve program objectives.
You will perform work directing, developing, or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a mission, system, or designated program.
You will provide logistics and information management support and direction to designated programs/projects.
You will manage development and implementation of total ship/craft Life Cycle Sustainment Plans in accordance with Navy policy.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "directing logistical management or support of integrated product support functions for ships."
