Duties

Conducts in-depth analysis and provides substantive input following review of proposed aviation and SOF ground materiel efforts to the materiel developer involving Research Development Program. Serves as the subject matter expert and senior analyst/writer for Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Special Operations Forces Capabilities Integration and Development System (SOFCIDS) documents. Provides technical guidance and oversight for JCIDS and SOFCIDS document preparation and development for USASOAC.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. In accordance with AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, the incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to the appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Incumbent is required to perform Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1)Applying knowledge of Initial Capabilities Document, Capability Development Documents or Capability Production Documents to develop requirements sufficient to satisfy capability gaps; 2) Applying knowledge of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) to determine acquisition and capability integration system processes to initiate the requisite documentation to support the Command's Deliberate and Urgent projects and programs; and 3) Applying knowledge of planning, designing, coordinating, writing and editing of Capabilities Integration and Development System (CIDS) to develop capability documentation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
