About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with Approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Serves as a Supply Specialist and subject matter expert on supply management policies, procedures and accountability transactions. Develops, prepares, and analyzes statistical data to assure accuracy and completeness within existing timeframes established. Searches regulations, technical manuals, supply catalogs and publications, to obtain technical information in order to advise requestors of recommended alternative courses of action. Responsible for maintaining an audit trail on all supplies and equipment, accountable and non-accountable purchased received. Inspects depot organizations and determines accounting requirements for commercial and/or fabricated items.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes in supply management policies, procedures and accountability transaction; providing technical advice and assistance in property inventory and accountability management; researching supply transactions and take necessary action to reconcile discrepancies; coordinating supply transactions utilizing different supply sources and procurement activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study]. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
