This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: : This position is located with the ILSC located at the Anniston Army Depot, Alabama.
Duties
Advises external personnel on fielding and supply related matters.
Provides input to After Action Reviews to improve command processes.
Executes de-processing or processing for system and platform specific tasks in preparation for inventory and transfer.
Performs inventory and transfers property to the Gaining Command/Soldier.
Identifies supply, quality or transportation discrepancies and performs appropriate actions or notifications to resolve.
Performs broad range of supply transactions related to stock movement, requisitioning, status, and availability.
Resolves a variety of conventional supply problems, questions, or situations
Prepares and manages documentation that supports the fielding process to completion including but not limited to Memorandum of Notification, Materiel Fielding Plan, Mission Support Plan, Materiel Requirements List and Materiel Fielding Agreement.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- The incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Travel Card.
- When required participate in hazardous material training.
- May be required to handle Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL).
- The position requires the wear and use of prescribed personnel protective equipment.
- The position requires working in adverse conditions or outdoors in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather.
- The position requires working in loud environments to include but not limited to the motor pool, weapons live fire range, and explosive ordnance.
- The incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The position requires working on, in and around, climbing up on, entering vehicles and operating in confined spaces.
- The position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 50-75% of the time.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized experience which includes (1) Coordinating with others to resolve supply issues; (2) Performing clerical task such as creating reports, forms, correspondences, and memorandums; and (3) Performing inventory checks This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or Logistics Management. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcript)
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
