About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located at the Martin Army Community Hospital located on Fort Moore, Georgia. The primary purpose is to manage the day-to-day operations of the practice, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care needs unencumbered by administrative tasks. Contributes to the development and implementation of standard policies and procedures applicable at the practice level.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Duties
Review healthcare delivery systems and/or services for efficiency.
Train employees in areas such as data collection, source verification, and administrative tasks to improve workflow.
Assign work to subordinate employees to meet organizational goals.
Direct all aspect of access management to include system processes to insure access to face to face and virtual healthcare options.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) may be required for this position.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position has a one-year supervisory probationary period unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experiencerequirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience coordinating and evaluating healthcare delivery systems such as clinic administration and personnel; and experience collecting and evaluating data for research studies; and experience utilizing automated healthcare delivery systems to monitor enrollment, patient satisfaction, and productivity. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
