You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSANALYSIS) in the OPERATIONAL TEST AND EVAL ACTIVITY, STAFF - LOGISTICS SECTION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will serve as the IT Specialist/Logistics Lead for expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to the executive staff on matters that pertain to IT management, logistics management and operational test supplies.
You will coordinate systems and associated subsystems to integrate the logistics element (i.e. planning, supply support, support and test equipment, facilities, packaging, handling storage, transportation, computer resources) for Operational Test.
You will utilize a wide range of technical expertise and knowledge to direct, plan, develop, implement, review analyze, measure and improve multi functions effecting the successful, efficient and timely operation related testing/programs.
You will interpret policy, procedures, and regulations; develops, where necessary, local interpretation procedures, methods and programs to accomplish the objectives.
You will implement and configure IT programs by defining what system interrelationships must be considered, operation mode, system software, and/or equipment configurations/concepts/improvements is most appropriate for a given test event/project.
You will serve as primary liaison/technical advocate for the Agency between customers, vendors, and IT management.
You will serve as the cost account manager for all logistics related issues to the facilities and support equipment and prepare IT and Logistics funding requirements.
You will provide interpersonal skills when presenting briefs and providing technical advice and innovative solutions to complex problems to leadership or key officials on program status and IT/logistics support missions or programs.
You will assign work to junior employees based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, or capabilities.

Qualifications
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: application of IT planning and delivery of logistics management.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Performing duties such as: directing, developing, implementing or functioning as a part of a logistics Information Technology (IT) management operation involved in providing logistics policy, support, governance and oversight; representative to external organizations and processes ensuring initiatives are fully and accurately portrayed.
