About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Enterprise/Surveillance & Recon Activity, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 with Duty Station Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg), NC.

Duties

Exercises primary responsibility for directing and coordinating the Communications Security (COMSEC) custodial function for INSCOM GISA. Responsible for strict adherence to all proper security measures and procedures. Serves as the network technical expert in interconnectivity/communications issues and functions. Acts as the training, logistics, maintenance and security coordinator for all assigned personnel. Monitors, maintains, and addresses issues with operations of assigned production information systems.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 30% or less of the time.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
• May be required to perform shift work.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GG/GS-7). OR Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, etc.; OR A combination of specialized experience as described above, but less than one year, and one year of graduate education as described above, but less than the required two years. In addition to the specialized experience listed above, your resume must show you have Information Technology-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies as defined: 1.
