This position starts at a salary of $131,889.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $171,452.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $171,452 (GS-14 Step 10).

As a Management and Program Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:
Recommending short- and long-range goals of the organization, develops detailed plans for implementing them, and oversees implementation of the goals in subordinate organizations.
Implementing, managing, tracking and evaluating large scale and extremely complex data analysis projects.
Developing and recommending strategies and tactics for problem resolution regarding data anomalies in HR systems and tools.
Researching and analyzing data for quality, identifies and tracks trends, and develops recommended solutions to systemic problems.
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Implementing, coordinating, and/or overseeing a variety of management program impacting DHS.
Developing and evaluating policies in assigned program areas, taking necessary action to achieve organizational objects, and recommending program objectives for improvements for the future.
Conducting research and analysis and providing technical advice and assistance on program issues or problems which impact DHS programs.
Serving as a data analytics advisor and coordinating the efforts of other Agency analysts in solving complex and far-reaching data management issues and problems for a wide range of systems, applications, and customers.

You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 07/20/2023.

Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment. Current and former federal employees may be required to serve or complete a probationary period.
