Duties

Collaborates with Supply Chain specialists to achieve quality and timely responses to include tracking, quality control responses for completeness and content, and ensures responses are forwarded in the required timeframes. Reviews data, displays information, identifies trends, draws conclusions, and recommends or initiates appropriate action from a wide range of data sources in support of assigned programs, projects and exercises. Performs task/due date management, coordination for data collection with Supply Chain Directors. Tracks completion status of key HQ DLA ASOC taskings and reporting status to Command. Develops and recommends actions to resolve/mitigate critical material shortages of items of supply identified by the Military Services to be critical in nature. Responsible for interpreting DLA, DoD and Military Services operational, war, humanitarian and exercise plans and translating them into DLA Troop Support responsibilities, tasks, programs and guidance

Qualifications

To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Develops and analyzes policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Prepares and presents briefings, reports, analyses, and recommendations which assist in the formulation of decisions regarding long- and short-range logistics program planning and execution. Communicates key points, positions, and results, prepares situation reports, point papers, trip reports and staff reports. Receives, reviews, coordinates, and communicates logistical data relevant to logistics operations including supply support for real world, humanitarian, and exercise events. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
