This position serves as a Logistics Specialist who supports the DLA implementation for sustainment of multiple products in the clothing and textile area. Plans logistics management workload to be accomplished, sets, and adjusts short and long-term priorities.

Duty 1: Serves as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem. Responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the total cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support for assigned systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into logistics activities required to sustain system fielding.
Duty 2: Manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates ILS plan implementation. Manages and monitors acquisition projects throughout their execution. Monitors functional and supporting organization compliance with milestones and performance criteria.
Duty 3: Serves as the senior technical advisor on contracts. Assists users in translating project plans into contractual documents. Develops comprehensive logistics evaluation criteria to measure contractor progress in meeting program objectives.
Duty 4: Serves as the senior representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters. Represents higher-level officials at command conferences to advise on current and future status of the program relative to acquisition logistics.

- Obtain and maintain Security clearance.
- APDP Life Cycle Logistics (LCL), Advanced Level (formerly LCL Level III), within 36 months of assignment to the position.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable).
- Position may be subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) up to 25%.
- Understanding or experience with Clothing and Textile support and acquisition is highly desirable.
- Position will require physical lifting, approximately 10 lbs. or less, height is approximately 4-5ft.
- Regular and recurring telework will be authorized on case-by-case basis according to organizational internal policies.
- Candidate may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall to meet mission requirements.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions.
This position will require you to plan and execute activities of the organization, ensuring operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics objectives.Establishes plans and schedules for accomplishment of assigned logistics workload.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
1. Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, specifications development techniques; and an understanding of acquisition and maintenance requirements as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support.
2. Knowledge of theories and principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well structured, and viable program.
3. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition.
4. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system's acquisition and transfer into operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan.
