Duties
You will serve as the Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Analyst in Networks, Services and Strategy Branch (ICN), Command, Control, Communication and Computers (IC4) Division, Deputy Commandant Information (DCI), Headquarters, US Marine Corps.
You will advise the Director, IC4 and serve as the Marine Corps interface and the Director, IC4 representative in various capability development, governance, policymaking, and advisory forums associated with Satellite Communications.
You will ensure Marine Corps equities are represented in present and future communications capability development with regards to tactical satellite communications.
You will engage directly with and coordinate Marine Corps participation in working groups that emerge from Satellite Communications (SATCOM) related work.
You will support policy oversight as it pertains to the Marine Corps consolidated commercial bandwidth pool and other Marine Corps systems as it relates to SATCOM.
You will analyze, develop, and coordinate Marine Corps positions on C4 SATCOM related issues.
You will monitor the progress and status of Marine Corps acquisition programs pertinent to SATCOM, ensuring that Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) vision and policies are supported.
You will provide subject matter expert (SME) support at meetings with other agencies and parties both internal and external to the Marine Corps.
You will conduct research and analysis of SATCOM issues throughout the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF).
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area IT PROJECT MANAGER level INTERMEDIATE within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing a telecommunications program for a major agency organization; analyze, develops, and coordinates agency positions on satellite communications related issues; monitoring the progress and status of agency acquisition programs pertinent to satellite communications; and, conducting research and analysis of acquisition programs.
