The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the as the senior intelligence specialist and subject matter expert of the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Directorate (IRD) of the 618th Air Operations Center Directs ISR mission and activities supporting and enabling the planning, employment, and execution of rapid global mobility operations.

Duties

-Conducts and oversees the most complex collection of multi-source intelligence. Serves as a subject matter expert for intelligence collection and operations. Evaluates relevance and reliability of classified and unclassified information to understand adversary strengths and weaknesses. Leads or conducts research, evaluates, collects, reviews, reports on, and fuses multi-source information from intelligence disciplines to satisfy a broad range of customer requirements. -Develops and presents ISR capabilities to a wide variety of service, national and coalition customers. Provides Combatant Commanders the intelligence information derived from ISR assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths. Plans and directs management of the entire effort from identifying the need for information to delivering a fused intelligence product to a consumer. -Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant in the dissemination of multi-source intelligence. Leads a wide variety of complex and non-routine collection and operations projects/programs/teams to support component, combatant command, and support agency planning and operations. Interprets and makes analytic judgments on broad-based and domain/discipline-agnostic intelligence products, applications, capabilities and resources. -Plans, directs and oversees ISR operations. Manages, oversees, and integrates functions to provide ISR intelligence and situational awareness necessary to successfully plan and conduct operations in support of the commanders and other customers within the assigned areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Extensive knowledge of and skill in applying the full range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to difficult and complex work assignments such as using multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to develop new methods, approaches, or procedures for intelligence capabilities and analyzing threat assessments. Knowledge of advanced principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed reports on complex information/situations attained from multiple sources. Demonstrated knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, interrelationships and operations. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: ??????? 1. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices; and multi-source intelligence information systems to capture and report on data in order to develop intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, interpret policy, and commit resources. 2. Knowledge of advanced dissemination principles, concepts, and methods to disburse the most complex information/situations attained from multiple sources. 3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. 4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients. 5. Skill in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes; and quickly assimilating disparate data, rendering knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and making decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure. 6. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT'D: 1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
