The organizational location of this position MOBILITY CMD, SCOTT AFB, IL The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Senior Cyberspace Intelligence Analyst for Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC), responsible to ensure all AMC cyberspace equities are incorporated into the command's strategic and operational planning activities.

Duties

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category is at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. ***Salary Ranges shown includes local market supplement *** DUTIES: Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant on cyber intelligence analysis and production. Conducts and oversees the most complex analysis of multi-source intelligence. Serves as the Senior Cyberspace Intelligence Analyst in AMC and serves as the Intelligence Directorate lead for Cyber Threats to 24/7 mobility operations. Leads development of Cyber threat analysis, production, and collection for the Intelligence Directorate's Analysis and Plans Division.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect experience at the next lower qualifying pay band or equivalent grade under the General Schedule (GS/GG) pay system or other pay systems, demonstrating quality in the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies to meet the requirements of this position. Examples of creditable experience: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices such as would be gained through extended experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments. Comprehensive knowledge of Information Security Standards used by the DoD Chief Information Officer. Working knowledge of Industry Common Body of Knowledge used by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium. Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation; skill and ability to operate information systems, communications equipment, and office equipment. Knowledge of the national IC, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations, and the skill and ability to work with all levels of military and civilian personnel, including senior officers/civilians, intelligence analysts, aircrew, and mission planners. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients; skill and ability in leading, team building, and mentoring junior analysts. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively. Ability to exploit a thorough and detailed knowledge of Air Mobility Command, United States Transportation Command, and Rapid Global Mobility doctrine and operating concepts to effectively describe the operating environment in operationally relevant terms that incorporate air mobility current, future, and conceptual operations, activities, and investments, directly supporting operational decisions on force posture, tactics, techniques, and procedures, and joint planning efforts. Comprehensive knowledge of DOD Chief Information Officer's standard for computer network security policies, DOD, USAF intelligence cyberspace policies, operations, and threats during peacetime, contingencies, and hostilities. Detailed knowledge of adversary CNO tactics, with a particular focus on CNE and CNA methods. Knowledge of DoD, Air Force, and air mobility network and C2 systems, and the ability to synthesize new information to prepare analytical threat assessments for AMC mission planning, network defense, and future systems acquisitions. Knowledge of industry's Information Security practices and policies. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
