The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an instructor with responsibility to plan and conduct classroom, laboratory, and/or field instruction sessions using the lesson plan as a guide.
Duties
Conducts classroom, laboratory, or field Instruction for courses.
Monitors and evaluates student progress and performance.
As an instructor, maintains, updates, or develops training materials specific to assigned courses.
Counsels students to identify and help resolve problems.
Accomplishes special projects/additional duties.

- Minimum degree requirement of an associate degree from CCAF or a regionally or nationally accredited post-secondary institution in the discipline or in combination with appropriate work experience in Security Forces
- Employee is required to wear any uniforms provided by the employer and must wear and maintain uniform items in accordance with specified standards.

- Incumbent is expected to accompany and interact with instructors/student instructors/students during training events to include but not limited to field training and protracted exercises
- Previous combat and deployment experience highly desirable
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Training Instruction Series 1712 +IOR.
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:***This is a CCAF Position***This is a Community College of the Air Force GS-1712 position: Section 9315 of 10 USC directs the commander of the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to comply with standards established by the Secretary of Education to confer associate degrees upon enlisted members who have completed the requirements for the prescribed programs of study. To comply with this directive, all faculty members of the Community College of the Air Force must meet minimum educational requirements as prescribed by the accrediting body Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC), i.e. all teachers must hold at least an associate's degree in order for the school to meet accreditation criteria. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); Supervising or administering a training program; Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results; Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
OR
EDUCATION: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B or J.D. with a major study in education or Business Administration (logistics/transportation). COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit copies of your transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-inΒ-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Ability to:
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to project voice and be heard in warehouse environment.
Comprehend and function, independently in and with the provisions of AFMAN 23-110.
Demonstrate a functional knowledge of other logistics related computer programs, i.e., WebVlips and ILS-S.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Attendance in Supply Craftsman course or Advanced Supply management course required.
Knowledge of
Instructional design and materials development for assigned courses.
Security program responsibilities.
Tests and measurement principles, techniques, and objectives.
The principles, practices, and techniques of instruction.
Training aids and devices used in training programs.
Skill in:
Accomplishing special training studies and projects.
Data inputs to include Technical Training Management System (TIMS) and other student related documents.
Navigating and explaining the various functions, and effects of WebCats.
Operating Window based computer applications and proficiency with Microsoft office suite.
Specialized knowledge of:
AF retail and wholesale supply such as D043, Fedlog, Wirunass.
Contingency and manual processing procedures.
Issue, stock control procedures and associated SBSS transactions.
Logistics Readiness and Regional Supply Squadron interfaces and operations.
MRSP management and deployment procedures.
Supply computer programs and utility programs to include Discoverer and STAS.
The Air Force Standard Base Supply System, supply policies and regulations.
Warehouse storage practices and materiel handling equipment.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
