This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for Conducting continuous analysis, planning, support, coordination, and improvement activities to ensure that global SCO offices and personnel are properly staffed, resourced, supported, and trained to meet critical security objectives.
Duties
As a SECURITY COOPERATION REGIONAL PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as a regional security cooperation organization (SCO) program analyst and planner supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and Combatant Command (CCMD) global SCO functions for assigned countries in one or more of the CCMDs.
Conducts continuous analysis, planning, support, and improvement activities to ensure that global SCO offices are properly staffed with SC practitioners possessing the appropriate level of training and experience to meet critical security objectives.
Reviews and analyzes SC programs, plans, and current issues to determine specific areas and actions of a type and nature that will result in changes to SCO manning, support, and training.
Maintains continuous liaison with policy and program management staffs of the Military Departments, the CCMDs, the Joint Staff and other OSD offices, the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), the DoS, and other agencies relevant to SCO activity and program issues with assigned countries.
Coordinates functional support to ensure SCO personnel receive manpower, personnel, training, life support, logistics, budget, emergency medical, and travel support.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Conducting continuous analysis, planning, support, coordination, and improvement activities to ensure that global SCO offices and personnel are properly staffed, resourced, supported, and trained to meet critical security objectives.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
