You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Operations and Compliance Division, Logistics Readiness Deparmtent of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR.
Duties
You will provide technical assistance to functional managers to ensure compliance while improving performance and quality of department-wide logistical processes.
You will determine the effectiveness of the logistics plans management programs (focus on deployment/mobility operations) via compliance inspection by identifying, analyzing and, tracking deficiencies in designated database to determining causes.
You will provide program analysis capability for the commander and management officials to measure the current status of the logistics readiness programs against planned objectives.
You will manage the program to provide the unit commander an assessment of the unit's ability to perform key logistics processes by ensuring standardized and technically compliant process execution.
You will provide technical guidance, advisory support and assistance to subordinates and internal/external customers on resolution of logistics-related problems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must have one year of Logistics Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied logistics readiness principles, concepts, and methodologies of operations to be able to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics readiness programs and operations (i.e., vehicle fleet in-commission rates, deployment training, cargo and passenger movements, aircraft stockage effectiveness, equipment/ inventory accounts, mobility bag capability). Also, I have experience utilizing logistics plans computer systems (e.g. GCCS, JOPES, DCAPES, BaS&E, LOGMOD, etc) to weigh effects of data processing requirements, validity of data retrieved, and general effectiveness of software used to track the efficiency of the various logistics planning programs and operations. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Determine the effectiveness of the logistical plans management programs via compliance inspections; 2) Participate in the conduction of in-depth value stream reviews and/or root cause analysis in order to assess and recommend revisions to policies and procedures to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of logistics plans program and operations; 3) Provide program analysis in order to measure the status of the logistical readiness programs against planned objectives; and 4) Offer technical guidance, advisory support and assistance on the resolution of logistics-related problems.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
