Duties
Serves as the Asiana or Oceania Chief and supervisor for assigned Joint Warfighter Support Representatives (JWSRs), Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific (DLA IP).
Provides logistics assistance and strategic adaptive planning support to U.S. Military Service Components, other Federal Civilian Agencies, multi-national organizations, and Foreign Allies that receive logistics support/services from DLA
Supervises and facilitates planning, management, and oversight of all DLA support given to customer components identified in Performance Based Agreements and broad Service-level Memorandums of Understanding throughout USINDOPACOM's AOR
Influences JWSRs to be engaged and committed to the organizational mission and goals by developing and communicating guidance, direction, and support
Ensures all military and civilian activities are visited on a regular basis and in a timely manner in accordance with the DLA-IP Warfighter Engagement Support Program
Reviews customer visit schedules, trip reports, weekly activity reports, and customer profiles to determine and evaluate level of customer support and effectiveness of customer interface
Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPls) and performs analyses to identify potential problems or adverse trends, and coordinates/recommends corrective actions/improvement actions
Oversees DLA-IP Enterprise Business System (EBS) analysis program and may be responsible for system design, changes, problem analysis and correction, and overall evaluation of specific information systems/data bases
Maintains current knowledge on special reports used to keep superiors updated on all major developments within the Combatant Commander's theater of operations and advises senior leadership of any USINDOPACOM support issues impacting DLA.

- This position may require extended temporary duty (TDY), or a permanent change in duty station (PCS) to any location within the Continental United States (CONUS).

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Expert knowledge of the theories and principles of Logistics Management.
Mastery of the application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of logistics, to enhance the quality and effectiveness of complex logistics programs.
Comprehensive knowledge of laws, policies, regulations and precedents applicable to logistics.
Effective networking skills to coordinate and advise multiple government agencies, multi-national organizations, and Foreign allies.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This is an Expeditionary Civilian (EC) position, and the incumbent will be designated as EE. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent may be required to deploy via temporary reassignment or be required to stay in place to support contingency operations. The incumbent may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively; therefore, the position requires the incumbent to be screened from military recall. Military Reservists selected for an EC position must arrange for removal from the reserve component prior to appointment to an EC position. This requirement must be met prior to placement in an EC position. Positions identified as EE are subject to deployment to combat support situations. Deployment will be via Temporary Duty (TDY) orders. Deployment may entitle the employee to additional monetary compensation dependent upon the deployment location. Additional allocations are based on the Department of State's determination of a combat zone.
