You will serve as a MILITARY SUPPORT LIAISON REP in the MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will provide administrative assistance to the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, and Operations Officer.
You will provide personnel with information and counseling related to the occupations, opportunities for general education and job training, requirements for promotion, and rights and benefits.
You will assist in arrangements of berthing accommodations, travel pay disbursements, security access, and passport arrangement.
You will review and implement incoming policies, regulations, and directives relating to administration and military personnel.
You will process all pay and personnel transactions regarding permanent change of station (PCS) Gains, transfers, retirements, and separations.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Planning, organizing and coordinating personnel support for all military personnel. 2) Reviewing incoming regulations and directives relating to administration and military personnel. 3) Interpreting directives pertaining to functions and programs to ensure personnel understand their responsibilities. 4) Preparing reports to inform management of analysis results for use in decision-making progress or for in-progress status information. 5) Providing technical advice and assisting in the planning, decision process, and assists in creating military officer and enlisted community workforce support strategies.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
