About the Position: Serves as the Security Officer for the Center for Army Analysis (CAA) and the agency's focal point of action and technical expert in a wide variety of duties and responsibilities relating to the planning, development, management and direction of all aspects of the CAA security program.
Duties
Develop and manage personnel security, physical security, information security, and industrial security programs for an organization to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory guidance while keeping senior leaders informed of program status.
Review personnel records to ensure accurate processing of security clearances.
Conduct inspections to verify facility compliance with physical security requirements and recommend intrusion detection system deployments.
Review agency's security plans to ensure compliance with established regulations, policies, and procedures.
Develop comprehensive written security guidance, policy memoranda, and procedures for the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
- Employee must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and managing personnel security, industrial security, physical security, and information security programs ensuring compliance with all security policies and regulations; directing security clearance processes for assigned personnel by efficiently reviewing, submitting, and tracking their applications; leading information security and industrial security programs for an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
