About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W4VYAA US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD, US Army Intelligence and Security CMD, ACOFS, G-2.

Duties

Serves as the Information Security (INFOSEC) Subject Matter Expert and Command Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO). Serves as the INFOSEC Subject Matter Expert for the Command. Independently plans, develops, and implements security policies and procedures. Serves as the Command FDO, demonstrating expert-level knowledge on the subject matter and executing program requirements in accordance with those standards.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) as required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
