About the Position: Serves as senior Inventory Management Specialist in the Clothing and Heraldry, Product Support Integration Directorate, responsible for accomplishing the supply management functions for the more complex non-demand oriented heraldic items such as flags, guidons, streamers and insignia.

Duties

Serve as a senior Inventory Management Specialist in the Clothing and Heraldry, Product Support Integration Directorate. Manage complex oriented heraldic supply items such as flags, guidons, streamers and insignia. Prepare inventory requisitions for high dollar value and high priority for flags, guidons, and streamers. Collaborate and problem solve the integration of new insignia, research lineage/honors, and provide/exchange information regarding all facets of Heraldry.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Determining, regulating and/or controlling inventory flow of complex items such as flags, guidons, streamers and insignia in the Clothing and Heraldry facets; 2) Preparing, determining and integrating new insignia items by researching lineage and honors that align with the development of supply requisitions, coordinating supply distribution, and resolving critical issues to meet customer expectation; and 3) Reviewing, coordinating and analyzing policy, regulation, and specifications of high dollar value and high priority heraldry items by keeping accurate supply records, projecting supply needs and responding to current and urgent supply demands. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management or other related field. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
