This position is located at US Mint,Philadelphia Mint. As a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist, will be responsible for providing both technical and administrative direction to personnel involved with inventory management, storage, distribution and cataloging to ensure inventory of equipment and supplies are accurate and in line with the needs of the facility.
Duties
As a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist, you will:
Provide guidance on utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles to develop, implement, and improve processes, and procedures.
Set up and maintains inventory accuracy performance matrix for shipping, receiving transactions.
Be accountable for allocating resources to meet both production goals and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
-Leading/supervising others in the inventory management processes; AND
-Applying supply management concepts, organizing inventory management assignments, logistics and inventory management; AND
-Planning and determining the distribution and positioning of supplies; AND
-Applying analytical methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations (i.e., internal activities or functions such as supply, budget, procurement, or property management);AND
-Providing recommendations on inventory levels and practices pertaining to inventory management.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
