About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Plans and Operations Division, at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
This is a Term appointment not to exceed 13 months.
Duties
Monitor all common user Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) baseline service delivery and support.
Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative for contracts and task orders established to execute automation and communication requirements.
Serve as the Government Purchase Card cardholder for the purchase of Information Technology supplies and equipment.
Provide management oversight, advice, planning, and funding coordination of all automation and communication requirements for the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC).
Facilitate the effective management of the organization's automation processes and resources that enable the organization's business and mission processes.
Provide technical advice to LRC functional divisions, branches, and outside activities concerning the use of automation to perform mission and functions.
Serve as Information Assurance Security Officer monitoring all users to ensure the LRC remains in compliance with Installation Information Assurance requirements.
Publish procedural guidance on reutilization and disposal of computer hardware.
Serve as the organization's Records Manager or the Records Coordinator for Army Records Information Management System.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
- You will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Term employment is subject to a one year trial period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Coordinating automation and/or communication requirements for an organization; 2) Procuring information technology supplies and/or equipment; 3) Monitoring users to ensure organizational compliance with Information Assurance requirements; and 4) Ensuring the implementation of record keeping procedures that comply with established regulations and/or guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Information Systems Management or another related field.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
