You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant in the Directorate Office, Environmental Security (ENVSEC) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will review temporary duty, training, and travel requests for validity and to ensure budget and policy conformance and advise supervisor as necessary.
You will pick up and distribute U.S. Mail and guard mail for the organization.
You will maintain electronic calendars to keep staff informed of significant events, dates, and deadlines.
You will create, process, and track personnel action requests using automated systems.
You will prepare correspondence and documents, adhering to proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting conventions and ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines.
You will compose replies to correspondence and other inquiries using information gathered from office files and department personnel.
You will review and coordinate the organization's records management system and provide guidance on proper filing protocol.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following duties:1.) Providing guidance and assistance to a large and diverse staff for multiple functional areas including personnel management, manpower management, pay actions, travel and training program management directive and publication management, correspondence management, record management and office administration; 2.) Conducting liaison and coordinating various personnel actions; 3.) Providing advice and assistance to management and supervising on personnel management matters involving staffing, recruitment, classification, hours of work, and employee performance appraisals; 4.) Preparing a variety of correspondence and documents using advanced word processing, database, and spreadsheet software; and 5.) Supporting an organizations daily mission.
