This vacancy is for a GS-0318-7, Secretary (OA) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, FACILITIES DESIGN and CONSTRUCTION CENTER. Duty location is located in Norfolk, VA.
Duties
The positions provide a wide variety of administrative and clerical support to the FDCC Commanding Officer and other management personnel and in general support of unit operations. Coordinates office procedures for an organization with subordinate units with a mission that impacts a wide variety of field units and mission accomplishments.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Assuring that background and supporting information is provided in the correspondence package
Maintaining suspense records on correspondence and action documents and follows-up to ensure timely reply or action
Providing assistance to staff to assure that routine responses to public inquires on standard matters are appropriate and in compliance with unit policies and procedures
Maintaining control of action correspondence and perform follow-up action to ensure timely reply/action.
