This vacancy is for a GS-0318-8, Secretary (OA) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SHORE INFRASTRUCTURE LOGISTICS CENTER -SILC in Norfolk, VA.
Duties
The incumbent provides a wide variety administrative and clerical support to the SILC Commander and Executive Director and other management personnel and in general support of unit operations.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-08 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience must include the following:
Checks progress and reviews finished work for adequacy; assures consistency with USCG procedures on completeness, timeliness and format standards
Provides assistance to staff to assure that routine responses to public inquires on standard matters are appropriate and in compliance with unit policies and procedures.
Perfonn full range of procedural work for the office.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
