Duties
You will serve as the assistant SharePoint Site Collection Administrator for Naval Safety Command (NAVSAFECOM).
You will assist in the administration of the day-to-day operations of the command SharePoint sites, including architecture, planning, testing, maintaining, and designing the SharePoint portal site collection.
You will assist in determining overall portal site design and structure.
You will monitor portal site functionality, security, and integrity, troubleshoot and resolve problems.
You will review, test, and integrate web pages, collect and analyze web site statistics.
You will evaluate new web applications, provide technical advice to web content providers, and ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices.
You will assist the Webmaster with development, management and coordination of online content that support NAVSAFECOM.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 45, System Administration, within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
For all 2210 positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

GS-09: In addition, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing most or all of the following: 1) Creating and maintaining portal structure and hierarchy of organizational areas and sites; 2) Creating user access for internal and external customers; 3) Assisting users in the creation and management of community sites; 4) Assisting users in migrating and loading content from other systems or legacy SharePoint sites; 5) Designing and programming user-friendly SharePoint portal interfaces and structures, ensuring ease of navigation through all websites and user interfaces; 6) Developing and managing all areas of online content that supports an organization; 7) Monitoring, developing and implementing plans, policies, programs, and processes to enhance the value of data and information assets.
GS-07: In addition, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing most or all of the following: 1) Assisting with IT duties related to creating or maintaining portal structure or websites; 2) Assisting with IT user access duties; 3) Assisting users in the creation or management of community sites; 4) Assisting users in migrating and loading content from web systems 5) Participating with designing and programming user-friendly website interfaces and structures, ensuring ease of navigation through all websites and user interfaces;

Education
The following can be substitute to meet the minimum qualification requirements for this position:
GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
Completing 2 full years (36 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
OR
A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
Education must demonstrate the competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
