Duties

Develop and formulate the segment of the installations budget request for the coming fiscal year. Provide guidance and assistance to managers in the development of their internal operating budgets. Create and edit statements justifying and supporting the funding requests of installation program managers. Monitor the use and rate of expenditure of budgeted funds through continuing dialogue with program officials and their staffs. Advise program managers and other interested parties of the status and availability of funds in different budget accounts.

Requirements

• Incumbent must complete Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Management Certification (Level 2 for GS-09 and 11 levels) and comply with all Department of Defense and Department of Army requirements of this certification program.

About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
