Duties
Serves as a Budget Analyst for assigned Appropriated Fund (APF) and/or Non appropriated Fund (NAF) programs. Monitors the execution of approved budgets, to include obligations, expenditures and/or income.
Works under and provides assistance to higher level analyst and supervisor by using software/hardware to perform analytical, technical, and administration tasks required during phases of the budgetary and execution process.
Assists development of reporting requirements, collection, justification and submission of budgetary data, to include but not limited to fixed assets, inventory management, vending machine cash management, and daily accounting reports to DFAS.
Reviews, analyzes, edits, and consolidates budget submissions for assigned activities. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Assists with the overall issuance of APF/NAF execution reports and maintaining the financial integrity of applicable databases/financial information.
Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with all levels of the organization/serviced organizational elements when providing training and Army records management.

Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
Knowledge of basic principles and practices of budget formulations in order to prepare written funding justifications, consolidate budget requests, request additional funds, and monitor expenditures against obligations for specified programs.
Skill in balancing funds between accounts, i.e., transferring funds between line items or sub-projects or identifying excess funds for possible transfer to other operating programs.

The Highly Desirable Candidate will have at least one of the following:
Knowledge and understanding of the substantive nature of the Army's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) and community and family support operating programs and their interrelationships and funding channels.
A Bachelor's Degree in a financial management related field.
Knowledge or experience in NAF/APF financial programs.
CPA certification.
