About the Position: This position located near Columbia, SC. It's a filled with history preserved in museums, churches, monuments and plantation houses. Its mild climate encourages visitors and residents to participate in some form of outdoor recreation nearly year-round. The city is located in the center of the state.
Duties
Maintain training utilization records and use of training facilities.
Responsible for planning, future operations, mission support and live-fire safety validation
Subject Matter Expert (SME) on training support planning for the Installation Range Operations Division.
Develop plans, policies and procedures.
Responsible for the entire Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Drug test is required.
- Must obtain and maintain a US government motor vehicle operator's identification card (OF 346) within 30 days after hire.
- Must obtain and maintain equipment operator's qualification record (DA 348) within 30 days after hire.
- Must successfully complete Accident-Avoidance Training; receive and maintain card with issue/renewal dates within 30 days after hire
- Must successfully complete initial US government vehicle training to include use of emergency lights, 4x4 operation, situational vehicle operations provided by US Army within 30 days after hire and complete semi-annual vehicle refresher training.
- Pre-employment physical is required
- Driver's license is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes plan scheduling of future training operations incorporating live-fire safety, mission support; maintain range complex scheduling inventory and calendar. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
