About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

Duties

Develops measures of effectiveness and key indicators to assess training programs and makes recommendations on training solutions to meet operational intent Coordinates development of and publishes standard operating procedures, long range training guidance and training plans to ensure success of both deliberately planned and time constrained missions. Serves as unit administrator for Digital Training Management System (DTMS), Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS), and Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS). Establishes and maintains effective coordination with higher echelons and subordinate activities on training issues of mutual concern or requiring coordinated effort. Initiates and maintains contacts with Army Signal Center of Excellence, DA CP-34 Program Office, and other Services Organizations to solicit training exercises to be conducted within the Brigade AOR.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • May require overtime and/or compensatory time work outside of normal duty hours to meet mission requirements.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe the following quality experience: Developing long range training guidance or training plans; Coordinating activities in support of training requirements and crisis response actions; assessing effectiveness of current training programs. For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
