About the Position: Serve as the Director, G 3/5/7, reporting directly to Chief of Staff, and the CG United States Army Center for Initial Military Training (USACIMT). Oversees the daily operations of the directorate and the technical supervision of the staff. This position is located at fort, Eustis, VA.
Duties
Serve as advisor to the CG USACIMT, staff, and subordinate commands on plans, policies, programs, and procedures concerning IMT operations, planning, training development, execution, and evaluation.
Exercise full responsibility for the development of operational plans, policies, and administration of training programs for IMT and subordinate organizations
Serve as director of major studies and/or projects directed by higher headquarters that impact on the IMT mission, programs, or operations of the directorate and headquarters..
Direct the daily operations of the directorate staff; exercises direct daily supervision over personnel engaged in accomplishing the commands operations, training, plans and tasking programs.
Ensure operations, plans, training programs, and policies are consistent with organizational goals and that the diverse functions of the directorate,
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.
- This is a mission essential position.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a Secret clearance.
- Pre-appointment physical is required..
- You will be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes 1) Experience managing, controlling, and overseeing implementation policy, operations, taskings, and requests for information. 2) Experience evaluating programs within the organization 3) Experience reviewing regulations issued by higher echelons 4) Experience directing studies to develop solutions to command problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
