This position serves as the Deputy Director of the Office of the Managing Director (OMD) and collaborates with the Director in overseeing and managing the planning activities of the Office. The Deputy Director will also work closely with colleagues throughout the Agency on key projects and priorities.

Duties

The purpose of the Deputy Director position is to provide high-level expertise and advice to OMD and agency staff. The individual will also oversee the agency's Office of the Managing Director when the Director is unavailable, or the Director designates the Deputy Director to be in charge. The major duties of this position are: Participates with the Director in overseeing and directing the planning programs, functions, and initiatives of the Office of Managing Director. Participates with the Director in developing and implementing the strategic plan for OMD within the broader structure of the Agency's plan. Serves as OMD's liaison to the Board Offices, representing OMD on cross-agency efforts related to IT, HR, Facilities and Finance issues; Represents the Agency at external meetings and conferences that impact on areas of responsibility; Provides information, guidance and advice to senior officials Leads or participates on committees or task forces for specialized issues or initiatives, as directed by the Director or a senior-level official

A full year of work is considered 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on based on the time spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. GS-15: To be deemed qualified for this position at the GS-15 grade level, you must demonstrate in your resume one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-14, in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) demonstrated by performing all of the following tasks: (1) administering an organization's strategic planning, human capital management, or administrative support programs; (2) managing, organizing, and planning work activities for a program or program area; (3) ensuring policies and operations conform to laws, regulations, and standards; (4) leading and supervising professional staff, either directly or through subordinate supervisors; and (5) developing and maintaining partnerships with other offices or stakeholders to promote cross-organizational team efforts.
