The selectee for this position will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSISTANT (OA)in the Resource Management Group (TRF-302), Repair Department (TRF-300) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will perform typing of numerous documents including work requests, letters, messages, travel vouchers, reports, personnel actions, supply orders, etc. for submission to Navy and outside activities.
You will review copies of reports furnished by higher level military personnel offices to identify discrepancies and assist with the management of personnel assets within the department.
You will review enlisted promotion packets prior to submission for quality and completion.
You will assist in administering the military personnel program for the department.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications

For GS-06 Administrative Services Assistant position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level GS-05 or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience performing a wide range of civilian and military administrative functions for the Repair Department.
Experience working directly with the Department LCPO to process enlisted performance evaluations, leave papers, command muster reports, and other matters related to military personnel.
Experience handling administrative support matters for the Repair Officer, Deputy Repair Officer, Support Services Supervisor, Production Management Assistant, and staff.
Experience reading incoming correspondence, publications, regulations, and directives that may impact the Department, using initiative to seek clarification from the originator when necessary.
Experience reviewing documents prepared for the signature or coordination of the Repair Officer/Deputy Repair Officer to ensure conformance with regulations, grammar, format, special policies of the Department, and the Naval Correspondence Manual.
For GS-05 Administrative Services Assistant position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level GS-04 or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience assisting with a wide range of civilian and military administrative functions for the Repair Department.
Experience applying the basic procedures and policies of the organization and field of work to complete assigned tasks.
Experience providing assistance to the Repair Officer and staff regarding military personnel administration.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
