About the Position: Deliver logistics, sustainment, and materiel readiness from the installation to the forward tactical edge to ensure globally dominant land force capabilities.

Duties

Responsible for developing governance and guidance for the demand planning functional area, communicating a unifying strategic vision, and initiating periodic reviews for process control and continuous improvement opportunities. Review and analyze plans, programs, and actions proposed by the staff and field activities, which are directly and indirectly related to demand planning. Provide advice, recommendations, and direction related to demand planning, to achieve national security goals and objectives. Partner with acquisition community to integrate acquisition procurement planning to make sure Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements are properly planned, resourced, and implemented. Chair feasibility study proposals for new or changing logistics processes and systems that affect the demand function. Manages and maintains demand planning functional training.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Critical Acquisition Position.  Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
• Acquisition certification, Life Cycle Logistics, Advanced level, within 4 years of job entry.
• Secret security clearance.
• Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months job entry.
