This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Revenue Collections Management. As a Technical Advisor, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and accomplishing special projects; performing research and analysis in support of the projects; and identifying and resolving project-related problems.
Duties
As a Technical Advisor, you will:
Provide authoritative guidance and leadership to special projects impacting the CMIA program. Lead, conduct, or participate in complex management studies with a wide or significant effect upon the cash management program that ensures the timely flow of federal grant funding of over 2,000 federal government programs and the 50 states, and the territories' policy, processes, and operations.
Lead and mentor project teams in developing, improving and/or reengineering processes; implement performance-based management; and engineer best practices for critical business activities.
Develop and apply management and business metrics associated with improving core business and operational functions.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience includes leading teams specializing in mission critical large internet revenue collections systems to include designing and implementing cloud specific transformational projects with a global presence. Examples of such experience could include:
- Experience planning, implementing, and designing enterprise-level innovative programs/projects, while recommending goals, strategies and plans required to meet program objectives;
OR
- Working alongside executive leadership to modernize existing business architecture to include designing new technical architectures for federal revenue collections.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
