About the Position: This is an Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation) position located at Human Resources Command (HRC), EMoD, Fort Knox, KY.
Duties
Ensures that all correspondence originating in the office is in compliance with regulatory requirements, Directorate and Commander’s general procedural policy.
Maintain, monitor and update the automated suspense tracking system, which includes travel and training requirements, awards, performance evaluations, and personnel actions.
Monitors support staff data entry of time and attendance into the Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS).
Plans, analyzes, and develops Operating Instructions pertaining to the Office internal policies and procedures for overall administrative services.
Maintains oversight of operational expenses such as travel and supply.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
- Fully qualified typist skill is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing office automation programs and other automated systems for creating travel authorizations, preparing correspondence, maintaining budget activities and charge card transactions; reviewing travel vouchers for accuracy; maintaining time and attendance records; coordinating and compiling program data from various resources for reporting purposes; monitoring multiple tasks and/ or projects to ensure completion by established due dates.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management; Human Resources.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
