About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the US Army Cyber Command, 1st Information Operations Cmd, 1st Information Operations Bn, located in Fort Belvoir, VA.

Duties

Reviews all Intelligence Operations to ensure Planners receive relevant, timely, and target-focused all-source classified and open-source information. Screens and analyzes all-source intelligence traffic daily to determine pertinent data and direct it appropriately. Researches, extracts, and analyzes data collected and assembled from worldwide Intelligence sources. Attends conferences and meetings to promote the furtherance of the Intelligence and Information needs of the command as dictated by contingency plans. Cognizant of developments and implementations of IT capabilities and applications in terms of social media. Serves as a technical supervisor in the daily accomplishment of the team's mission. Makes suggestions concerning promotions, reassignments, recognition of outstanding performance, and personnel/equipment needs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • All 1st IO Cmd employees, while assigned to ARCYBER may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: All-Source Intelligence AnalysisIntelligence Strategic PlanningLeadership Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
